Hi everyone, I wanted to take a minute and reintroduce myself to all of my new friends and clients.
My name is Keith Geissenberger, and I am a dedicated and passionate dog trainer specializing in positive reinforcement techniques, offering a boutique, personalized, in-home experience for both dogs and their families living in Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Phoenix, Carefree, and Cave Creek, Arizona.
Most people know me simply as Keith the Dog Guy, and I’m kind of ok with that. As a proud Golden Retriever owner and lover of all breeds, I understand the unique needs of these amazing dogs, and my training approach is tailored to each individual, creating a hybrid of traditional methods and modern, specialized techniques.
I started Sonoran Dog Care with the singular goal of helping families. Sometimes it’s too much barking, sometimes they pull and get so overexcited they are hard to handle. Sometimes we don’t fully understand our dog’s needs, and that can lead to bigger obedience problems and reactive behaviors. For whatever the reason, sometimes there’s so much stress in the house that nobody is having any fun. Our entire goal is to help you and your dogs live peacefully and have your best possible relationships. It’s really all about family, and it’s really all about helping.
With years of experience as a former local executive chef, I’ve brought my attention to detail and commitment to excellence into my current work with dogs, including therapy and service dog training. My focus is on creating a positive, nurturing environment for all dogs, including those from local rescues, and I also work closely with first responders, training service dogs to support their critical work.
Just like us, our dogs need socialization and enrichment. It gets boring, stuck at home, even with the nicest backyards. I believe very strongly in playgroups, interaction with other like-minded, healthy, safe dogs where they can just be themselves. Healthy stimulation and play with our young dogs is vital to their development, and for our older dogs, it’s the best part of their day. We love playing different games and finding new ways to stimulate our best friends. I love being there, watching the transformation from nervous and shaken to goofy and slobbery.
Thank you to all of my wonderful clients, past and present, for trusting me to be part of your dog’s journey. It’s been an incredible privilege to build relationships with so many families and their furry companions.
For those of you who are new here or considering training for your dog, I’d love the opportunity to help you and your pup thrive together. Whether it’s addressing specific challenges, building confidence, or just adding a little more joy to your lives, I’m here to help.
Feel free to reach out anytime – I’m always happy to answer questions, share advice, or schedule a consultation. Let’s work together to make life with your dog the absolute best it can be!
